The problem with this is that it ignores the real issue---incompetent fat
slobs can NOT do these dives, no matter how hard they try to be
"disciplined". They may want discipline, they may obtain it for a few
minutes to hours at a time, but each of these divers as a whole needs a
great deal more than discipline to survive in Wakulla.  The most important
gear choice for Wakulla is the diver himself ( here these guys fail
miserably from all accounts I've heard..few could even score an average VO2
max score ( 35 ml/kg ), several would be closer to 15 ml/kg . This "gear
failure, added to the "mental" gear failure, will destroy your best efforts
long before the poor slobs get even one mile in. The expected CCR failures
will only be more nails in the coffins.

If I were in your shoes, I'd start pointing this out now, so that ensuing
death tolls don't link your training as the failure point----identify the
"real" gear failure now---the lack of fitness, and this will mitigate the
future failing of the CCR.
