After Mimms' experience with that coward Derik macnullty, who did just that when Jane sank past him, I would guess that Mimms does not want to go through that again. but as long as derik dives, and teaches off Jims boat we will just have to wait and see the problem is greater than just this one boat or state, derick made the choice to allow a student to die and is still teaching, this could have happened on any boat and anywhere and the iantd instructor trainer would still be teaching. Tom Mount needs to reel this in before it gets out of his controll. right now he can change the standards as to how they relate to training dives, non training dives, and instructor disipline. with mcnullty one of Toms (and Mimms') biggest problems is dericks personality, like clinton he can sell you a shit sandwich and you would be happy to buy, and eat it. Tom needs to seperate himself from derick and see the problem though unclouded eyes. in all my dealings with derick the opinion I have formed is of a very charming person with major personality/ character flaws, to me he is a lying, thiefing killing machine. Tom is the big boy on the block and needs to step up and act like it. time will tell but hopefuly before another is killed...
