I had this and post "as it went"

"For anyone interested in the truth rather than George Irvine's usual
rantings about his hundreds of enemies, I refer to his recent posting about
Bret Gilliam (President of TDI and CEO of UWATEC). Irvine has filled the
Internet with inaccurate and deliberately false information about Tom Mount
(IANTD), John Griffith (OMS), Bill Stone, Chris Brown, Annette Long and
countless others for as long as anyone can remember. Gilliam is a favorite
target since he authored that brilliant piece in Deep Tech a year ago
exposing Irvine for the cowardly bastard that he really is. Nothing's changed.

Contrary to Irvine's distorted account, Gilliam was not even named in the
UWATEC law suit and no jury found him at fault in any part of the
proceedings. The verdict against UWATEC is being appealed and is likely
unenforceable in Switzerland anyway. The only issues in litigation were the
discharge of two ex-employees when the company was based in South Carolina
years ago and precedes Gilliam taking over as CEO in April 1996. Typically,
Irvine has distorted everything in his desperate action to discredit his
arch enemy.

As a member of the legal profession who watched the proceedings with great
interest, I doubt if UWATEC will ever pay a nickle from this bogus award
and Gilliam will certainly not be involved regardless. As to Irvine's
ridiculous claims that Gilliam had fled the country, I spoke to him in his
office today twice. (You can too, he's the most accessible CEO in the
industry.) He regards Irvine as a deranged lunatic and urges readers to
simply ignore him. That sounds like good advice"
