Subject: diluents: hydrogen?

Among all the merits and demerits (narcoticness, solubility, how fast to go
into and out of solution) of helium and nitrogen and neon and argon, that have
been discussed, what are the characteristics of hydrogen as a diluent? I have
heard of hydrogen being used as a diving gas diluent. What are the danger
ranges of ppO2 and ppH2 and pressure, of serious risk of explosion, with
"hydrox" or whatever it's called? (At least it could mean that the diver and
his blowtorch could run off the same cylinders!)
