“, a jury just awarded TWO MILLION dollars of
Gilliam's and his employer's money to two former employees which the
court ruled that Gilliam "slandered" and then fired when they tried to
recall defective gear “

" A circuit judge ordered an investigation ... into allegations that (
Gilliam ) committed perjury and attempted obstruction of justice in a
civil trial earlier this summer." ...wants
the State Law Enforcement Division to investigate..

Well, well, well …..

The harder they come, the harder they fall as the old saying goes. So it
would seem that the beginning of the end may be near for “millionaire
dive-industry power broker” Brett Gilliam. At least in Gilliams case there
are likely offshore havens where he can escape to when the arrest warrants
are issued. No doubt he will find comfort with the likes of Robert Vesco and
other international fugitives in some Latin American backwater which does
not honor US extradition requests.

This will likely not be the case for Gilliam fellow travelers such as
Annette Long, Chris Brown, Fred Garth and John Zumrick. The fraudulent
letter writing campaign to the state aimed at displacing the WKPP from
Wakulla is not forgotten. Neither are the defamatory letters to employers
and the aggressive collusion with Gilliam in the DeepTech article.

The Fear and Loathing article in Gilliam and Garth’s DeepTech magazine more
than meets the litmus test for journalistic defamation. The article is
filled with blatant errors, misquotes and outright fabrications. In his
blind haste to publish a negative piece against George Irvine, Gilliam
neglected to research and validate the source of the quotations attributed
to George. He wrongfully assumed that the material Annette Long had culled
together was legitimate. Apparently, the similar tactics Gilliam employed in
South Carolina Uwatec lawsuit backfired seriously to the tune of two million
dollars.

To even the most casual observer, the Fear and Loathing article is designed
to demonize George Irvine. Even the cover picture is construed to
characterize George satanically. The defense will have a tough time arguing
that this picture is only harmless parody. The companion pieces by Chris
Brown and Annette Long will serve to enjoin these two individuals in any
impending lawsuit against Gilliam, the magazine and other parties.

I have strongly prevailed upon George Irvine to seek legal remedies to
redress what I feel was a colossal injury both to himself and his friends,
colleagues and supporters. George has resisted this venue, inasmuch as he
tends to prefer a good no holds barred fight with his adversaries. The
situation has dramatically changed however. George has substantial
resources, has retained a very effective legal team and has the time and
energy (now that the caves are down) to pursue his personal vindication.

Anyone who contributed to the DeepTech article, anyone who wrote letters to
the state, anyone who wrote letters to employers might expect to be named
in any future litigation. I am sure that Annette Long will enjoy being
served at her place of employment as will Chris Brown. Of course Chris has
no place of employment so process serving will not be as ignominious.

Judging from the outcome of the Carolina lawsuit I would not expect a Fear
and Loathing suit to fare much better.

All I can say now is “Comport Yourselves Accordingly”.
