SANTA CATALINA ISLAND, Sept. 1 - A North Hollywood man who passed out while scuba diving off Santa Catalina Island Sunday died Tuesday at a treatment facility, the coroner's spokesperson said. Rufus (Rudy) Perrison, was pronounced dead at 12:29 a.m., said coroner's spokesperson Scott Carrier. He was being treated in a hyperbaric chamber at a specialized facility on the island. Perrison was diving from a boat and was about 160 feet underwater when he suddenly came to the surface and lost consciousness. He apparently did not run out of air, Carrier said. A diving partner revived him, and he was brought to the specially equipped facility. The cause of death was under investigation -------------------------------------------------------- Robert A.
