With respect I seriously doubt your statement that, to paraphrase,
"training has improved or is at least more widely available".

Are you _really_ suggesting to me that, for example, the PADI OW1 course
qualifies you as a diver? I'll leave the denigration of the TDI's,
IANTD's etc to people more expert than I am.

And I agree "blow gentle bubbles" but not, I suspect, on THIS forum. :-)
