I'm only a few kilometres north of you (in Richmond Hill, eh?), but I expect you measure depth in feet like just about every other diver I've met here in Canada. Granted, my original training was in metres, but that was in Australia. The only divers I've met using metres or bar here were visitors from overseas. For the most part, the influence of our friends across the border to the south is great enough that there's little difference as you cross the Great Lakes. Let's not tell our government, though, or those blasted Liberals will haul us out of the water until we're recalibrated in metric. Still, this may be the one country in the world where inclusion of the units after the MOD would be a good idea, just to avoid confusion. -- Anthony DeBoer <adb@on*.ca*> -- Send mail for the `techdiver' mailing list to `techdiver@aquanaut.com'.
