I have started up a list server for use by folks in the U.S. mid-eastcoast area to post information on upcoming tech diving trips. Who's the list for? -If you organize tech trips out of Ocean City, Virginia Beach, Hatteras, Morehead city, etc. and want to find divers who have the qualifications, gear and attitude to do tech dives (defined as staged decompression diving) sign up on this list. -If you are divers who what to know what trips are going out, how much, when & where to sign up. -If dive boats want to advertise tech trips on this list that's fine with me as long as they are in good taste and don't spam the individual members. I'm not sure if a list like this is even needed. But I do know that tech trip organizers are frequently looking for warm bodies to fill empty slots. I hope this will work out as a resource for you folks. Send email to vbtech-request@ci*.co* containing "subscribe" in the body of the message. And if you want to opt out do the same with "unsubscribe" in the body. To post to the list send a email to vbtech@ci*.co*. You will have to be a member to post. This list will be archived so any trip reports or info on conditions etc. posts would be great. It usually takes a little spool-up time for a list to get going so be patient. I will try to do regular posts with trips that I know of to help start things up.
