<excerpt><<<<<<The gas Richard reported to the charter operation was 19/30 or 19/33 according to every account I have received. But that information came from Richard. Was Richard covering up a mistake he made in blending??? I later received information from several sources the gas in his BC was analyzed and the contents were reported to be (depending on the source) between 18-19% O2 and 30-35% He.>>> </excerpt> Dear Bill, Thanks for the report. Now for some questions and comments. You say the gas in the BC was analyzed showing between 18-19% O2 and 30-35% HE Was this analysis done at a laboratory that could use a gas spec system that will break out each individual gas or was this just a simple oxygen analyzer with the rest just being assumed? Any possiblility he has argon in his main tanks ? What about CO? Boat compressors do have a nasty habit when the wind blows the wrong way to get carbon monoxide from exaust in the intake of a compressor. Did the ME do a chemical analysis of his blood? What other medications was he on prescribed or otherwise? Post fatality analysis is the key to understanding the what, when and why.
