hi guys

this message is for dave, because we attend the same university, however it
might be helpful to others --- the system admin. sent out a notice on unix
about a week ago in regards to mail on the VAX --- why she put it on the unix
machine is a bit confusing (the VAX people would never see it) but that's the
way things work around here ..... dave get a courtsey account on unix ...

To send mail from the VAX to our unix system, or to any other internet address,
you have to form the address like so:

   MX%"username@cs*.um*.ed*"

the 'MX%' tells the VAX/VMS mailer  that you are sending to an offsite address.
