Regarding my letter a few days ago about Sheck's book being in the next issue of Underwater Speleology, the following is from Shannon Sikes. She is the editor of that newsletter. > The next issue of UWS does have a full first chapter from Sheck's > autobiography in it; the first chapter is quite short, though, in comparison > to the rest of the chapters. It's about his exploration of the world's > longest sea cave, Gaint Cave of Belize. He explored it with Mary Ellen, Paul > and Shannon Heinerth, and Bill and Sandy Fehring, I believe. It's a bit > introductory, as it is written to accomodate readers who know nothing about > diving and/or cave diving. We also publish a page listing the table of > contents of the autobio, the list of maps presented, the appendices and other > info. UWS is 24 pages this time, a figure I expect to stay with at least > through the Jan/Feb issue (which is packed with stuff already). She went on to say that Sheck's writing style was excellent and wonderful to read. Devon
