Just a small biological note; the Haversian canals through which nutrients (and O2) travel within bones are amongst the very finest pores or channels in the human body. The lamalae that surround them are even finer and provide connection between osteocytes within the bone. Thus the channels might trap exceedingly small bubbles that are asymptomatic in the rest of the body. But who knows? Peter David
