John, I have been on these lists for the last three years. At some
stage I decided to start flicking each post relating to a diving
'incident' into a directory labeled 'incidents' - which has grown
large and sad over the years. It sits just above 'insurance' on the
directory tree.

That directory now contains several hundred emails from the last
few years. I missed some when I was on location or when I unsubscribed
to concentrate on some projects. But in the main it is a fairly
comprehensive record of the insanity that has prevailed in techical
education. When I put lists together, such as the one I compiled
for Ms Petersen, I go through that directory and pull out first hand,
eyewitness, expert witness, investigative or coroners' court
reports. What you see in that list wouldn't be half of the incidents
that are in there.

Here's a just a quick scan: Hennie Pretorius - TDI Technical Instructor,
TMX Instructor candidate, Pat Bowring - TDI TMX Instructor, Rob Palmer -
TDI Course Director, Rob Parker - TDI TMX Instructor, Denis Sirvet - TDI
Instructor Trainer, Bernhard Prinz - TDI Technical Instructor, Andre
Smith - IANTD Trimix instructor, Mike Elkins - IANTD Instructor, Rehan
Bouwer - TDI TMX Instructor

But if you think, John, I'm going to wade through that directory
every time one of you dumb-as-dogshit-can't-even-put-my-regs-on-the-
right-posts instructors yells "bullshit", you're even thicker than
I thought.

I am in the process of sending the entire incident directory over
to Wrolf, a batch at a time, so he can do what he will with them -
annotate, collate or precis them and put the results on his web
site so you and the rest of the howler monkeys can climb the trees
and find the bananas for yourselves.

However, John, I doubt whether anyone will ever convince you that
the technical training agencies need to modify their approach,
because, John, YOU ARE THE PROBLEM - another IDIOT instructor who
has proved on these lists that you are woefully lacking in the
knowledge and the analytical powers required to be a technical
diving educator.

Unfortunately John, you are incorrigible. Debating(?) these
things with you is like lecturing a room full of chronic
alcoholics on the dangers of alcohol. They drool and fidget and
cough, some even nod in agreement with what you are saying. But
you know all the while they are wondering where their next
drink is coming from.

Got your regs on the right posts yet? Thought not.
