I have been an avid diver for about 10 years. I have found that the majority of divers that I have met have been friendly, considerate and helpful, that is until I came to this list. I am a budding technical diver and I have taken the approach of learning as much on my own by reading and practicing many of the techniques in my recreational diving. I subscribed to this list to hopefully gain more knowledge from more experienced divers. Imagine my suprise to see the ranting and ravings of the severely demented and insecure divers of the WKPP divers and their groupies. Maybe not all, but I am sure that you can put the appropriate names in. I am embarrassed to say the least. Although I think that a lot of the information that they give is good information, I have to say that the delivery mechanism sucks. If your intent is to keep your own little group intact by discouraging anybody who might want to attempt diving beyond recreational limits, I feel that you will succeed. Not by putting the fear of possible serious damage or death, but by the unwillingness of intelligent but uneducated divers wanting to put up with the crap that you guys dish out. You should be ashamed of yourselves. So, I am proposing that the name of this list be changed from techdiver to, The ranting and ravings of the WKPP people and groupies list.
