I have heard of another. At the request of my source I am awaiting
information from the DDRC on whether the equipment was functioning,
before posting any information to my site.

Could you get me additional information? Anything can be useful, but
especially useful would be: statements by the divers and boat crew at
the scene; information from the recovery team; name and contact
information for the Gardai officer (e-mail? In my dreams); estimated
schedule and details for the inquest; and any investigation by the Irish
Underwater Council (CFT).

I hope that we can together make some sense of this tragedy. We cannot
bring him back, nor any of the others. But if we can prevent just one,
even though we may never know it, it will be worth it.

Please accept my condolences, and pass them on to your buddy and
friend's loved ones.
