Good question Phil.. First, analyzing the remaining FO2 takes time. Second, and although I'll probably get flamed for being a weenie, I don't trust o2 anylizers.. Third, it's a much simpler operation to do a fill from scratch.. Calculating a fill from scratch has fewer steps than topping off a previous mix; lessoning the chance of a cluster fuck. Yeah, yeah... You would catch it when the gas is analyzed, but this is wasting more time.. Fourth, I pay extra for Nitrox..
