Sorry, its just too easy to play devil's advocate when the debate is so obviously based on rhetoric. Me, I don't use 'em... my buoyancy is close enuf to neutral I don't care about making it redundant, so I consider the extra hose a potential hassle... but that could easily be stowed on the right shoulder harness d-ring, just like the DIR retainer for the normal inflator.. or stowe it down the backplate only to be retrieved in emergency. So just to separate the arguments out... is it the bondage, or the redundancy that bothers the anti-OMS wings crowd?
