This is benificial in the overhead environment in that it allows the divers to pass thru a "one-person restriction" in a relatively normal orientation, as opposed to having to traversing it in a head-to-head orientation if a standard length secondary hose is used. Using the longer hose greatly reduces task loading in a situation such as that and susequently gives both menbers of the team better odds of keeping their cave entrances and exits equally divisible by 2 :-> Victor "The only boring people in the world are sane."
