In the Jablonski article, he mentions the use of a small dring on the right side of the light for additional stages, in addition to those placed on the left. I dont recall a max number for the left, and I know that another practice is to tow floating bottles tied to the lower left d ring. Is the cannister d ring now totally unacceptable? Or is it ' hogarthian' , but not "doing it right'? Would there be a difference for open water, between the two? Are there other aspects of what was once considered ' hogarthian' that are no longer accepted as' doing it right '' ?? Personally Im not using any stage bottles right now , but I want to be clear on what to do prior to actually doing it.
