Subject: Re: Stainless hex keys
The thing that bother me about SS hex wrenchs is that I lose them long
before they rust enough to matter (given especially that I give mine an
occasional squirt of Boeshield Formula O).
But since you big spenders insist here's the secret to it:
- Buy the three SS hex wrenches you need.
- Cut each one into three roughly equal pieces
- Cut three 1 1/2" or so triangles of scrap SS
- Next time you are having tank bands welded, have the hex keys stubs
welded to the triangles.
- Keep one and sell the other two next dive trip to divers wearing
SpareAirs or Tech-look BC's for $50 each as "Super-trick SS Pro Tech Diving
tools".
Now instead of a bunch of easy to lose, overpriced keys, you have a nice,
hard-to-lose, easy -to-use tool, and $100 profit for your effort.
