Subject: How to tie a knot

How to attach one item to another using string rather than a zip tie.

1. Orient the objects you wish to connect so they are as close together 
as possible.
2. Using a figure-8 pattern, weave your high tensile nylon line around 
the 2 objects 4 or 5 times.
3. Pull everything tight and take the tails and wrap them overlapping 
(half-hitchs) a couple of times around the center of the "8"
4. Pull everything tight and tie a proper square knot.
5. Trim the tails to about 1/4"
6. Take a match and melt the tails into little mushrooms right down to 
the knot. If you do this right, the knot will never get undone.

Inspect these connections on your pre-dive for looseness or fraying and 
you are good to go.
