There are two basic kinds of zip ties. The ones we don't trust are the ones everybody knows. The other kind that might pass has two inter-locking flanges. That is, rather than end-through-the-loop it's got serrated grips. My experience with these indicates they're more reliable. Any opinions? At any rate, stainless hose clamps are found wherever marine supplies are sold. Just make sure you don't over-tighten the hose clamp -- you've got enough torque to crush the BC's plastic flange.
