Need some advice Im planning to reduce my bc corrugated hose to 12". (after my last trip to akumal - the bc hose was annoyingly long). Its a seatec bc with the outlet on the back. but; how long of a bc inflator hose will i need? im in california and dont have the luxury to look at everyones equipment; and trial and error wont work (i'll go broke before then). i run mine off the right post of a din manifold, using a scubapro mark 10 first stage (similar to the mark 20) off the end port. seems like about 20" would be right, but the posts i have read lately says for a 12" corrugated hose, using a 15" bc inflator hose off the LEFT post is the way to go. i have always (over 10 years) routed the bc inflator from the right post, and the drysuit (when i used it) from the left; has something changed in the theory of hose routing lately? seems like the shorter bc inflator hoses come in 22" and 15" lengths, and anything else is custom (ie. expensive), so i want to get what will work right the first time. And if 15" off the left post is correct, then about 20" off the right post should be about right since the distance from the left post side outlet is about 5" from the right post end outlet. But i dont have the luxury of trying a hose that is reasonably close and going from there so....... anyone have any advice? perhaps for those of you who use 12" corrugated hoses, what length bc inflator hose do you use and how do you route it. thanks.
