If you wanna dive this area, get your gear. River levels continue to drop briskly. No rain in this area for three weeks. Spring heads are all supercharged. Peacock Spring I - Clear and pumping. Peacock Spring III - NOW is the best time to hit this one. Usually a syphon, #III is outflowing but will probably reverse flow later this week. The vis in here is optimum during the resurgence stage. Little River - Clear and kicking. A scooter caver on wednesday was seen suspended, at full throttle, going nowhere. (Maybe he had a trim problem - heh-heh!) The steps have been removed by the County and new ones have been planned for installation soon. The NSS-CDS and NACD have agreed to another joint project if the County does not come through. Ginnie/Devil's Eye - Crystal. Telford Spring - Still green, one of the last to clear. We see about 30 ft vis here currently. Troy Spring - Clearing. Our boat charters for O/W divers resume next weekend. This one is the first to go under, the last to recover. Royal Spring - Nice. Openwater groups are diving this "freebie" every day. Max depth 55 ft. All other springs are clear. For the Artifact Hunters - Santa Fe vis is at 15 ft and getting better each day. We should see 50+ in there within a few weeks. The Suwannee has about 8 ft. vis currently and continues to drop. The Paleo Boys are showing us some nice pieces this week. For the tubers: The Ichetucknee is getting back to its blue self. Go early to avoid the crowds. Updates to follow on several of the lesser-known dives. D. -- Send mail for the `techdiver' mailing list to `techdiver@aquanaut.com'.
