I joined these in hopes to learn about the most cutting edge techniques, gear, and the chance to talk to more experienced divers than myself and someone who may have a different oppinion than the divers I know. So far all I have witnessed is a bunch of old ladies complaining about TDI killing people and IANTD killing people. I have one question... Who did all of you learn from? People dying because the instructor was incompetant then blackball the instructer. If they died because they were stupid and the instructer would have endangered the other students or would have certainly died saving the neglagent student then... so be it... It is tragic. Instead of placing blame why don't we fix the problems instead of just preaching on our poverbial soap box. And as for the organizations, aren't they just a vehical for us to learn how to better enjoy and fullfil our love for the oceans, and our egos... Here is some advise for all of you other new commers... Check out your instructor!!!!! Do not just take thier word that they are great.
