So then the mindset is that this is used on every dive? My pony was for
emergencies only got breathed two/three pufs at a time till psig was 2500
then it got a real fill. Now i use doubles when i need them and singles
otherwise.

Why deal with all this junk if you just want a functioning J valve ?

<Al it is wise to do the math .....>

It also helps to read the post carefully before replying ..I tried to say:

...a 13 is the edge of that envelope. The outer edge . This(meaning the
xtra)will give you what 10-12 breaths from 120 fsw?....

While while it could be implied that i meant that a 13 cube pony will last
10 12 breaths from 120 fsw _actually_ i meant that the xtra with its 6 cube
soda bottle will last 10 12 breaths. I'll give Will that point; I could have
been more clear here.

As far as assuming 30 fpm ascent rate and 0.7 rmv well I dont know about
that. You were talking about _recreational _divers right?

<< dont suck hogarth dick...have you forgotten you roots?? >>

Will I tried to tell you in that other private email that I see hogarth as a
mindset and an attitude not a specific configuration. Everyone should dive as
simply, safely and efficiently as possible, chosing equipment, environments,
and partners who reflect that statement. Do you disagree with this?

It is safer for the recreational diver to dive a single tank and rely on the
buddy or do a blow and go ( with the weight ditch for the really fat dudes)
than to rely on a half measure that is fraught with mechanical complexity.

Will, if you dont agree fine, but I wanted to know *why* you didnt and I
still don't.
