Hi, I noticed a recent thread on one of the uk newsgroups and i thought I would ask this forum for its opinions and input. What experience has the list had with jammed dry suit valves? Which valve type, mode of operation and why did it jam? The uk guys have cuff dumps and they have experienced that the nylon outer layer of their dry suit underwear suit valves can trap the air inside of the outlet valve. Apparently the nylon can seal against the valve inlet from within the suit. The common solution seems to be to cut some diagonal slashes or holes in the nylon outer layer of the dive underware to create an escape for the trapped gas. There is a note on this that explains things a bit further at: www.mounthigh.co.uk/Scotdive/Threads/Thread8.html. I would appreciate any feed back you might have. ( and if your wondering what im doing posting on a nice spring weekend its because i took up swimming due to the fitness threads and now i have an ear infection.)
