I just want to ask a question for a minute, I don't want to bend anyone out
of shape
as I imagine that Isle Royale is near and dear to some of your hearts. Are you
sure that
the park will be closed to hikers and canoeists? I didn't see that anywhere in
the
forward. The Bruce Peninsula here in Ontario is a U.N. Biosphere Reserve, and
access has
not been curtailed much at all. As for "fuzzy foreigners", the U.S. plays a
large part in
the U.N.s decisions. I think that initiatives of this type are great ideas to
save
important areas like Isle Royale from commercialization and urbanization (let
the flaming
begin). I understand why you guys are upset, but I can't see why they would
curtail
diving activities unless the divers have been being destructive (I do almost
all my diving
in a National Underwater Park here in Canada). Anyways, this may be an
unpopular opinion,
but I tend to support any attempt at conservation of this sort.
