First, a short intro... I've been diving for about 3.5 years now (appx 200 dives) mostly in the sinks and springs of central florida. Other places include at least one annual trip to the Carribean, and of course the FL keys. I recently aquired a cavern cert. from Paul Heinerth at Scuba West in Hudson FL., and I intend to get my full cave cert from him as well. I dive air and nitrox, occasionaly using oxygen for deco. I also enjoy deep diving. Being new to technical diving, I don't have alot to contribute, but I sure enjoy listening and learning from the pros. Now in respone to Jody Svendsen's post >On the subject of Poseidon trouble, my Odin seems to be breathing VERY >wet, much worse that I remembered. I have replaced the mouthpiece, and >in the theory that the housing might be warped, I have borrowed another >housing, which I have yet to try out. How dry should expect the Odin to >be when I have it working correctly? Thanks. I have two Poseidon Thor regs which always breathe dry except when they get some sand or silt in the diaphragm. It doesn't take much at all to render them almost useless. A couple of cave diver friends use womens stockings to form a screen. It's placed under the diaphragm cover, and the cover is then screwed on normally. I've never tried it, but they claim it works. Tim
