Erik >Gonna' call TUSA and demand that they start producing an O2 >compatible mask with a Viton skirt? Entertaining post. Anyway, don't lose sleep at night worrying about your TUSA silicon seal :-) On a more serious side... Silicon O-Rings are recommended for use with O2 by a Bearing Services Ltd. who sell Eriks O-Rings (any relation - this is Spooky). A few of us have been having a debate as to why Silicon lubrication is not considered suitable for O2. The only conclusion I could come up with was that many silicon lubricants have other components in them to make them more runny. These other components act as a fuel and are not O2 compatible. Anyone on this list with specialist knowledge care to comment about the use of "pure" silicon as an O2 lube? (I'll be sticking to Crystolube until I know better.)
