I would be very interested about getting some user experiences of cordless UW communication systems. I'm especially interested in OTS Byddyphone 2 and Divecomm 1000 systems. Any feedback would be much appreciated. I have had a chance to try OTS BP2 in several dives to 140 ft. In area to 100 ft the system "look and feel" was that of typical maritime VHF. Having this UW was astonishing! Below 100 ft we started to have whistling noises and disturbances in Diver-to-diver communications. This may have been caused by SCUBA and could be avoided (?). System worked very well for us also at bottom depth but it seems that it is not designed for this deep use (?). COmmunications to surface unit tends to have quite a lot of echo and disturbance and need some experience from srf-unit user. Features mentioned above are "normal" and due to UW conditions. If you haven't tried a cordless system: Do try one! It is definitely an experience not to be passed. Reima Raty HELSINKI FINLAND
