Al, The gator wraps by Brownie's is indeed a piece of gear that is used to minimize the amount of loft present in drysuit legs. They cover only the lower leg and I am satisfied with their performance. I often have open water swimming dives in a shell type drysuit and appreciate the gator wraps for keeping the excess material from interfering with my kick and I imagine they minimize the drag associated with the movement of the leg through water. Although I imagine they would also help in preventing a feet-up attitude, I do not think that most cave divers would have such problems after a few dry dives.
