Jeff,
=20
Any dry suit which has the waterproof layer on the outside i.e Viking & =
Avon ( the two "rubber" coated suits that I have owned ) is extremely =
vulnerable to damage by sharp objects i.e wrecks. With both suits I had =
damage / leakage problems. In one case, slight contact caused a "flap" =
of rubber to be lifted which was not obvious with a visual examination & =
took a pressure test to find it.
=20
I agree with Mike regarding the huge boots !
=20
The outer rubber layer eventually degrades with exposure to U.V. light. =
( long term )
=20
Only plus I can think of is that they are easy to patch.
=20
I have owned a DUI TLS 350 for about 3 years now. More resistant to =
sharp objects, lighter and more comfortable. ( I gave the Viking & Avon =
suits away !)
