There are alot of differences between the two lights. Maybe you were in a
hurry and just overlooked them. Attention to detail is very important when
passing judgment. The canisters are not made of the same material. The
bottoms are alot thicker on the Barry lights and are recessed so as to at
least double the bonding area. The recessed area at the bottom (inside)
also has been grooved for the battery. (placing the batteries in the best
position in case of flooding). The Barry lights also use different plugs,
and batteries. Upon closer inspection you might also have noticed that the
test tubes and bulb slugs on the Barry lights are not the same. The light
heads are also made of different material(higher heat resistance) And the
canister comes with a LIFETIME GUARANTEE. These are a well thought out
light. Any time talking to Barry or JJ about these lights and you would
appreciate all the differences. Good Luck. Bob
