The simplest method I've heard of was explained in the 1972 US Diver's service manual. That manual said that if a magnahelic (sp?) is unavailable, the technician can submerge the 2nd stage under 2" of water, at which point it should crack. However, I have never bothered to do the math to see how many mm Hg equals two inches of water. I was just wondering if they would be willing to share their plans or methods. In case you dont know what I am talking about it is for the setting up and tuning of regs usually has a magnahelix (measuring cracking effort) intermediate pressure guage etc. -- Send mail for the `techdiver' mailing list to `techdiver@aquanaut.com'.
