I'll toss in some first-hand experience. Though I'm sure we'll not
get enough data to come to any statistically valid conclusions, mine
is interesting because it goes against "popular mythology" or "urban
legend."

I ran an 18-person trip to Saba two years ago, and we had five
computer failures during the first day or so. From memory, the list was:

1 Aladin Pro
1 Sherwood Source
2 Suunto Solutions
1 Suunto SME-ML

Contrary to popular mythology, none of the Orca computers on board
failed, and folks in the group ended up buying 4 or 5 Orca
SkinnyDippers (Mk II) from a shop on Saba, none of which had any
problems the rest of the 25-dive week.

Cheers,
