If you want the best insulation with the least bulk then it is the best deal in town. Most diving undergarments are made from a compressed Thinsulate, and offer the best insulation. If you want the same CLO value from polypro and fleese then you will be "bulky-man." You want good insulation to keep you warm, but you don't want to be too bulky that you can't easily reach your manifold knobs.
