Well now we have a real helpfull fellow. Why is it that being fat is makes you
a slob. Not so !!! I am merely fat & as Dan pointed out I can diet. But you
Johntodd are truly ugly. The kind of ugly that starts on the inside & comes
oozing thru your pores.

Unfortunatly it clouds your thinking .You like others are spouting out crap
with out a clue. The shallowest portion of the doria is Approx. 160 Ft. It
reaches down to 240' as the boat swings at anchor, you will find spots almost
300' deep next to it These are called wash outs. You can verify this with
Billy Deans. Most diving on the wreck takes place at about 200 - 220 Ft. Most
of my personal diving on this wreck was done using air with O2 on the hang. 30
min on the first dive, 25 on the second. sometimes a night dive was done for
25 Min.

Last year I had a chance to dive it on gas 17/33 I was able to get a 45 & 35
Min. dive in one day. Using Nitrox & O2 for accelersted Deco. The technologie
has come a long way. I cut my tables using DRx & Mig plan. While the Doria is
home to 6 Knot currents we rarely dive in more than 2 Knt. it is too hard to
hang otherwise.

in the 170 Ft. range I usually dive air using 60% & O2 for accelerated Deco
The limiting facor for the length of my dives is not gas supply but boardem.
After 40 - 60 minutes I get the yen for a rootbeer & a yodle, so I need to
come up. This usually gives me a boittom time of 45 min for the first dive. 35
for the second.

Now you have the facts, no stories just the facts. You can verifiy these facts
with several people on the list. You can also see a picture of me & the John
Jack at EDBA 98 page 1

Now back to Kevin (skippy.) Dan has put forth some rather surprising claims,
stating that fat guys (with poor VO2 Max) would get bent like pretzels on his
deco schedules. He stated that fat guys would need 4 -5 hours to secompress
while a fit guy needs 1. Further he put forth that this was because of his
superb conditioning and tremendous VO2max. While we all agree it is best to be
in shape for diving, VO2 Max is not necessarilly a reliable way to predict
decompression abbility. (it is a fine way to predict the amount of work load a
person can sustain ( which by the way is what it is intended to measure not
offgassing of inert gas) but not necessarily offgassing ability). Dan also put
forth the Idea that the Unfit diver should not be allowed to tech dive &
sugested using VO2 Max as the measuring stick. Who is he to decide who is fit
or not fit to dive ?? It is a personal choice. If your choice gets you killed
?? So be it.

With all this putting forth, Dan offered up not one iota of proof, though he
did call for extensive chamber testing. But he is still insistent that VO2 Max
is the only true measure of ones fitness to dive & physical ability to on load
& off load inert gases All with no proof. and then to suggest that unfit
individuals not be allowed to tech dive. Why, because Dan belives that if you
are too lazy to exersize then you shouldn't be allowed to dive. Kevin asks him
for proof & suggests that the theory be tested before it is circulated as
gospel, & you jump on his shit. & throw in a bunch of lies about me to boot.
These acts do not lend credibilty or weight to your cause. They show you up as
the ugly unthinking person you are. At least Dan trully belives in his ideas.
You just use them as a vehicle to launch your uglyness.

Our choice of gear is diffrent from yours. We do not Cave dive. We no little
or nothing about it. We would not even pretend to know. But you guys in the
caves are gods so you think you know everthing about N.E. wreck diviong gear.
And you haven't even been here !! how amazing.

Keven asked for test results about the bondage wings Since you have none, you
reort to insults & buu crap. You are like the little old man in the booth
playing the wizard of OZ. The Wkpp Cave diving team has a remarkable record.
what is most amazing is that they can do it with the likes of you.

There is no list I have seen that lists people that died because of Bondage
wings (or other BCs). People who died while using then yes, Because of them
no. Almost all the dead divers were found to be using a mask. Does this mean
they died because they used a mask & all dive masks are Stroke gear ??? of
course not,. Deaths are unfortunate, but not to be used for your gain.

1. Get the facts straight before you insult someone.

2. Have proof BEFORE you put forth ridiculus ideas as fact.

3. If you are going to put forth such crap have the balls to come dive to
defend it. I put my money & my body up & offered Dan a trip. I don't see him
coming yet.
Captain Zero
(a fat man)
