The problem is aggravated if it is worn on the wrist, as any sudden movement of the arm is registered as a pressure change and the alarm goes off. Also, if diving in strong surge, the sensor detects an increase and then sudden decrease in ambient pressure as the water rushes over you - and the lovely electronic beeping disturbs the tranquility again. But I have found that if you mount the computer on your console and tuck it in your pocket, it isn't nearly so bad. I still dive with mine, so it can't be _so_ bad !?
