It is unfortunate that I and others have used language about heavily
overweight people, which they find personally insulting. I will say, I did
not start out this thread with an attempt to insult all the heavy people on
the list.

In the process of creating anologies, and demonstrating an idea, it become
much easier to use "classic" descriptions for extremely heavy people, as
quicker to write, easier to fit in a sentencce, easier to understand by the
people reading the post.

I'll attempt to take more care in my future descriptions in this thread. I
do not want to do "injury" to any of the overweight people on this
list----what I would most like to do, is to get them to attain a higher
level of fitness, and therefore safety, before attempting 250 or 300 foot
deep dives, of any signifcant duration. I have been concentrating on the
conceptual understanding of why a problem exists so far, and NOT on the
psychological issue of making the fitness issue palatable. Please take this
as an apology.
Regards,
Dan
