Rob my 2 cents worth ... If you have alternate boyancy (i.e. a dry suit) you usually don't need a dual BC as if the BC fails you can get some degree of boyancy from the drysuit (within the limits of neck seals etc). If you use a wetsuit then you need redundancy for your BC. If it fails and your are 15-20kg negative on the bottom it is a tough swim up. By the way, I have a Dive Rite with superwings - I like it, I understand its limitations regarding the shock cord, its effects on maximum boyancy and how to control it - and I defiantly elect to use it. I do not yield to stroke tauntings by hard line isolationist Hogarthian me-too GI3 lookalikes. (Theres an invitation to get flamed if ever I saw one !) Guy > I have a quick question.
