Does this mean you have NOT measured the tanks you used before this
"measurement-day" ???
So you did 4 dives a week for 2 1/2 years not knowing what mix you were
diving ???
And you are speaking about added safety ??
As long as you do not push the pO2 limits you might be in a safe range,
but it is
not ok not to measure the tanks.=20
Normally there should be a fill-logbook for the tanks and you should
measure and log them.
Or start mixing your own stuff and of course measure them.
There has been a few threads about mixing and tank-rolling etc on the
list, so it might be good to check the archives.
I am really wondering what shop would fill Nitrox-tanks without letting
the customer measure for O2 contents.
Normally (especially in the US) they always wanted me to do that at
least for liability reasons.
Even in Italy where they are much more relaxed about reliability-stuff
they wanted me to do that. Only in the UK and in Egypt i noticed that =
it
is up to you to measure it and they have no fill-log at all. (not in
general but at least in one place)
Also the US is the country to have c-cards for when you=B4re a =
foreigner.
In UK and Egypt nobody gives a shit.
I was also asked :"You don=B4t trust us, because you want to measure =
the
tanks??"
When diving Nitrox it is no big deal to measure it and +-1 or 2 might =
be
OK for you.
When diving Trimix the margin for errors is getting smaller and more
measurements must be made.
It is a wise idea to measure all tanks and 5% is a bit much off the
line.
Did they roll the tank before measuring ?? (This sentence is to keep =
the
bandwith busy ;-) )
