Of course it does - that was my point. Another of my points is that when you dive independants, you complicate the long hose thing. How do you determine which tank gets the short hose? You "simplified" it by using two shorts. Great. So how do you share air? Two long hoses? One possible solution. So what if you're on a dive and you lose all the air out of one tank, and wonder of wonders, a buddy has the same thing happen to his entire supply? Buddy breathe? Do you solo dive with your independants? Then a long hose becomes a moot point. But I suspect that you don't and that it's not. Please explain your situation.
