I posted a question about Sean Stevenson's backplates recently. I received several personal replies, and have since been requested to post these for others with interests in Stevenson's plates. Here is the first of a few. Ashley- I recently bought one of Sean's plates. About twice as thick as the OMS. No holes around the outer edges. Excellent workmanship, with the exception of a few sharp edges on the slots. I prefer mine smooth, so a few minutes with a fine-toothed file and I'm happy. Not as highly polished as my original OMS plate, but more polished than the recent OMS offering. Slightly different locations and orientation of the slots for the webbing at the waist. A real good piece of goods at a terrific price. Now, if only the weather will cooperate so I can dive it!
