Nitrile O-Rings have been around before Viton, and are used pure O2 for industrial and medical oxygen handling. Nitrile O-rings are used normally for the necks seal of O2 tanks. Both are not as good as silicon, not as elestic and durable, but they do not burn with O2. You can use Silicon up to 40%, but on the long run the O-ring will be oxydized. If you plan to use Nitrox 40 everyday, you better change O-rings. Why don't you do like us? We do not have any silicon, only Viton or Nitrile, O2 clean and compatible equipment and double filtrated air always. Less problem from the beginning.
