Many thanks to all who responded to my posting. The overwhelming opinion was not to bother. I'll follow this advice. I've been diving a number of years quite happily with an adjustable shoulder dump set to vent off all excess gas, but have found that it's difficult to reach with fully inflated shoulder counterlungs. Last time I'd used a cuff dump my fins popped off while I was burrowing in a wreck for something shiney. I've also heard numerous stories of buoyant ascents from deep wrecks. I'll keep the shoulder dump meantime and do some practice with it. Best Regards, Ewan -- Send mail for the `techdiver' mailing list to `techdiver@aquanaut.com'.
