O.K., O.K.....so I over-stepped my bounds, and my undergraduate chemistry
teacher fed me some mis-information, and I should just stick to talking
about diving stuff.  All I really care about is that I'll be able to
afford to buy helium for plenty of time to come, until the time we no
longer need helium for deep diving :-)

So far, though, at least I seem to have been correct about helium not
binding to anything.....

gases in the lower right portion of the periodic table)
