Hi Rick, Thanks for the input. As for helium rising, my understanding is that, because helium is lost (escapes earth's gravitational hold) at the outer edge of the atmosphere, there is a lower concentration of it way up high. This establishes a declining concentration gradient with an increasing altitude, so there is a slight net movement of helium upward by diffusion. The same does not happen with nitrogen because it is massive enough/not energetic enough to escape earth's gravity.
