Argon is supposedly about three times as narcotic as
Nitrogen.  This means if you used a 50/50 ArgOx mix
for deco from 70ft up, the max EAD is about 100ft.

Consider also that you save having to carry
an intermediate range deco bottle, as the ArgOx50 
would be optimal for deco all the way to the surface.

With a CCR, you could fill the deco diluent
bottle with ArgOx90, and also use
the same bottle to fill your drysuit.

Neon would work, too, of course, but it's far more
expensive than Argon.
